A local accounting firm left aging office servers for Microsoft 365 so tax season no longer depended on one machine in a closet.
A Surrey accounting practice was running email, shared files, and tax software off two aging office servers. Remote work was clumsy, backups were untested, and one failed disk would have stopped the firm in the middle of tax season.
We moved email and files to Microsoft 365, set up secure remote access, and put tested backups in place before we retired the old hardware. Staff kept the same folder names and a short training session, so the change did not land during their busiest weeks.
The firm now works from the office or home on the same files, and a server failure no longer takes the practice offline.
